Britain's Big Cat Mystery is an upcoming feature-length independent documentary film produced by 'Dragonfly Films Video Production' between the years of 2017 and 2020.[1][2] The documentary explores the history of the mysterious British big cats, which are believed by many to be living and breeding in the countryside of the United Kingdom,[3][4][5][6] such as the Surrey Puma, the Beast of Exmoor, the Beast of Bodmin Moor, the Beast of Buchan, and the Fen Tiger.

Synopsis[edit]

The documentary examines multiple reports of large cats in Britain.[7] It features exclusive new photographic evidence from locations in southern England,[8][9][2][10][5] as well as showcasing a high-tech field-research expedition to find fresh evidence of the big cats of Britain.[3][11]

Release[edit]

Early edits of the documentary were screened at the 'Accolade Global Film Competition' in 2017 and the 'Impact Docs! Awards' in 2018.[2][12][13] Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, production has been delayed and the film has yet to be formally released.

Reception[edit]

The film is yet to be formally released,[14] but has received a positive reception from commentators and contributors.[15][16][4][17][2] The documentary also features in 'The Top 10 TV Shows about Big Cats in Britain' list published by Vocal Media in August 2020.[18]
