This is a candid portrayal of Muhumuza Brian (better known as Bryan Morel) based on his personality, transformative journey, challenges, and client roster as a Ugandan-born brand executive, publicist, and philanthropist.

Driven by passion, Bryan made his debut as a personal assistant to Ugandan entertainers Angella Katatumba, Sheilah Gashumba, Judith Heard, Desire Luzinda, Jackie Chandiru, Myco Chris and other private corporations.

Early Life[edit]

Bryan Morel was born on 04th August 1993 in Mbarara Hospital (western Uganda) to his parents Abel Muhumuza and Jovia Kyarimpa.

31st July 1994 Bryan Morel was orphaned barely a year old when his father died in a grisly motor accident.

His uncle Yowath Mugizi raised him in a religious family, demanding humility, devoted resolve, and strictness.

Education Background[edit]

He attended Lyakisana Primary School (1996-2006), St. Gonzaga SS Kijjukizo (2007-2010), Sseke SS for Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (2011-2012), and Makerere University for honorary Project Planning & Management course (2013-2016).


9th of December 2012 While in high school vacation, Morel joined Diva Awards Afrika and rendered administrative support to the Awards director Kaggwa Kalule Richard.

17th July 2015 Bryan was granted an internship from Makerere University (School of Long-Life Learning) at Banda Community Centre – an Information, Communications, and Technology hub in Central Uganda. His dissertation spanned youth development programs of nurturing, cultivating, and developing positive living among the youth.

13th September 2015 At Diva Awards Afrika, Bryan Morel and the team recognized celebrity acts Juliana Kanyomozi, Halima Namakula, Aisha Nabukeera, Roz Merie Atim, Naava Grey, and Afrigo Band’s Joanita Kawalya with honors at the pre-season launch party.

Career Beginnings[edit]

By the turn of May 2013, Bryan Morel, a music fan, mobilized and paired support for French-Ugandan pop singer Iryn Namubiru on social media during a saga that involved Interpol, Japanese, and French and Ugandan governments. This was following a canceled show slated at Yotsukaido Cultural Hall in Tokyo, Japan.

8th March 2014 Represented singer Iryn Namubiru and her management at the Airtel Women’s Day concert featuring Nyanda Thorbourne of Brick & Lace at Garden City. Bryan witnessed the launch of global family planning, gender equality, advocacy for young people to live a remarkable positive life, and making informed choices presented by Reach A Hand Foundation.

8th May 2015, Appointed by Blu*3 entertainer Jackie Chandiru tasked with crafting stage images, booking interviews, responding to media mails, meetings, organizing choreography rehearsals, studio time, welfare, and liaison with top management.

6th June 2015 Organized Jackie Chandiru’s Wotuuse music video premiere at Club Ambiance Bukesa in partnership with NBS TV.

23rd – 24th May 2016 Attendance and performance at the first-ever United Nations (UN) World Humanitarian Summit in Istanbul Turkey presented by songstress Angella Katatumba on invitation by Secretary-General Ban-Ki Moon discussing Investment in Philanthropy.

1st July 2016 Organized vocalist Angella Katatumba's diplomat-studded music concert dubbed ‘Mulago Yaffe’ at Kampala Serena in association with Uganda Bikers and Uganda Cancer Institute.

8th August 2016 Officially appointed and immediately promoted to Operations manager by humanitarian Angella Katatumba, in charge of NGO, Angella Katatumba Development Foundation (AKDF).

13th June 2017 Incapacity of executive assistant to supermodel Judith Heard to handle itinerary during Collective Fashion Week in Kigali Rwanda alongside fashion designers Sonia Mugabo, House of Tayo, Moshions, Laduma Ngxokolo (South Africa), and Inzuki. Later, the two visited Genocide Grounds to mark World Peace Day. There was additional scrutiny on how he handled thronging fans, paparazzi, and autograph hounds during this tour.

9th September 2017 Announced, publicized Angella Katatumba’s first-ever music performance in Austria Europe headlining ‘African Gala’ at Längenfeldgasse 13-15 Street 1120, Vienna. In furtherance of this, he shared an email newsletter.

1st July 2019 Announced by UK-based Ugandan gospel singer Myco Chris as organizing committee leader of his ‘Give A Hand’ Charity concert and launch of Kainos Foundation during a press conference at Kampala Serena.

6th November 2019 Bridged the commercial endorsement between DSTV Uganda / Multichoice presenter Sheilah Gashumba and Tecno Mobile in the promotion of their market phone series, Tecno 12 including coordinating Sheilah's other brand shoots and activations of Yokuku, Martinellis, and Yellow Card App.

2nd June 2021 Organized the launch of Desire Luzinda Foundation International at Kampala Serena alongside Fenon Records and iCandy. Amongst the guests were Apostle Grace Lubega, Honorable personalities Miria Matembe, Edwin Musiime, cabinet minister Godfrey Kiwanda, and Hon. Amelia Kyambadde.

29th July 2021 Flagged off Honey TV presenter Sheilah Gashumba to Capetown South Africa for the first Pan-African lifestyle show dubbed ‘House Of Chefs’ showing on DSTV Channel 173 featuring Harvard University’s case-study chef Siba Mtongana.

2nd November 2021 Contracted by Xodus Communications organizers of Forty Under 40 awards Africa (Accra, Ghana) to lead nominee entries from Nigeria, Ethiopia, Liberia, Kenya, Senegal, Burundi, Rwanda, Lesotho, Sudan, Togo, South Sudan, South Africa, Uganda, Libya, Gambia, Chad, Democratic Republic of Congo, Malawi, Tanzania, Cameroon, Mali, Egypt, Argentina, Burkina Faso, and Zambia.

20th March 2022 Incapacity and on the invitation as National Director traveled to Mumbai India and Goa aboard AirArabia for Miss Environment International pageant where Kayra Wouters from Belgium and Uganda’s supermodel Judith Heard emerged amongst other big winners at the finale.

October 2019 the summary of Bryan Morel’s difficult times was reported in 2019 up to 2020 after the Daily Monitor newspaper reported how Covid-19 affected his business. To cope with the challenging times that followed, Bryan Morel turned to advertise Sneaker shoe merchandise named ‘FeetBit’ on Instagram stories, Reels, WhatsApp Business, and Snapchat.

However, Bryan concluded that ultimately any business can thrive through the biggest challenges - like an international pandemic! At the height of Coronavirus, people wanted to reach out to others and he bridged that using social media. Every risk and dare have been a victory over fear.

Bryan Morel rose above adversity to focus on giving back and cultural transformations as a volunteer at Angella Katatumba Development Foundation (AKDF), Desire Luzinda Foundation International (DLFI), Judith Heard Foundation, Day One Global, and Kainos Foundation.

Recipients of Bryan Morel’s compassionate support include Uplift Children’s Centre Lungujja, Mulago National Referral Hospital, and Uganda Cancer Institute.

1st July 2016 Donated UGX 15M towards Mulago National Referral Hospital from the proceeds of the Mulago Yaffe music concert that was organized at Kampala Serena Hotel under the umbrella of Angella Katatumba Development Foundation (AKDF).

30th September 2016 Attended and shared philanthropy PR story alongside musician Angella Katatumba at the African Philanthropy Forum (APF) exclusive breakfast meeting at the Kampala Sheraton Hotel chaired by Queen Nabbagereka Sylvia Naginda.

30th March 2017 With musician Angella Katatumba and the Diplomatic corps organized the Black-Tie Charity Dinner at Kampala Serena Hotel, officiated by President of Kenya, Uhuru Kenyatta and the Ugandan Ministry of Foreign Affairs. UGX 185M was fundraised and donated to boost the Uganda Cancer Institute.

6th July 2020 Handed over 250 Holic Pads sanitary pads to students of Uganda Christian University on the behalf of musicians Desire Luzinda and Sheebah Karungi. This was regarding Covid-19 effects on menstrual health, especially among the school youth.
