Cyprian Egomang Tayong (born 5 May 1979), better known by his stage name Old Pancho or CY International or Cyril Inter is a Cameroonian comedian, and philanthropist.[1][2][3] He began his career at the age of 10 and developed passion for entertainment which made him venture into acting and dancing. His love for acting made him trek for long distances to the urban areas where he watched movies and came back home to his village to interpret these movie roles to villagers in his community.[4]

Old Pancho started acting at the age of 10 by trekking from his village to the urban areas to watch movies and return to his village and narrate to the villagers how the movie was acted. At the age of 12, he became the leader of a band in primary school. in 1993, he became the choirmaster and a full time street dancer, comedian and actor.[citation needed]
Philanthropy[edit]
Old Pancho is a philanthropist and founder of Prisoner Support, a Non Governmental Organization which provides help, support and information for detainees either in police custody or in prisons in Cameroon. It's goal is to improve the living conditions among prisoners in Cameroon.[5][6] In March 2022, Old Pancho and a host of Cameroonian celebrities such as Tzy Panchak and Asaba launched a charity campaign to fight against drug abuse and violence in secondary schools in Cameroon.[7]
Controversy[edit]
Old Pancho called on the Cameroonian government to ban Nigerian music. He claimed that Nigerian artistes are taking food off the tables of Cameroonian artistes. "Who is Naira Marley that cannot be banned?" CY International said.[8]
