Caasimada Online, meaning “The Capital” in English is an independent Mogadishu based Somali news agency owned and operated by Caasimada Media Inc.
Established in 2009 by a Somali-American journalist, Caasimada Online is the largest Somali news agency as of June 2018 in monthly visitors, visits and page views.[1][2]
Caasimada Online aims to present an objective news on Somalia to its readers through investigative reports, articles, editorials, and interviews.
Caasimada Online is updated on a minute-by-minute basis and offers exclusive and interesting reports. It is well-known[by whom?] for its exclusive reports about Somalia politics. It is believed[by whom?] that Caasimada Online is the most influential Somali news organization because of its dynamic reporting and breaking news on non-previously known stories.[citation needed]
Caasimada Online also encourages a democratic, and extremism free Somalia.[citation needed]
