Cake Web Browser (typically referred to as Cake) is a mobile web browser developed by Cake Technologies, Inc..[2] It was first released as a limited beta in October 2017[3] for iOS and then more broadly released worldwide for the first time on January 30, 2018 [4] for both iOS and Android. Cake is the only mobile web browser to use swiping as a primary form of navigation through search results.[5]
Rather than displaying the list of search results (aka the search index) after a user enters a search term, Cake instead returns the first web page in the results list and allows the user to swipe through subsequent pages.[6] This approach allows users to consume web content by swiping through search results as web pages, instead of jumping back and forth between the index list and resulting pages.[7]
