From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Cand.negot. (candidatus/candidata negotiandi) is the title bestowed upon a person who holds a Danish master degree, or kandidatgrad in Danish, in international negotiations from Syddansk Universitet in Odense (The University of Southern Denmark). The cand.negot degree is awarded after three years of study at the bachelor level and another two years at the master level in the joint Danish kandidat degree system [1] .

The education is equally divided between humanist, social science and business administration courses. Thus, the degree programme is deliberately geared towards international business, the public sector and organizations. In addition, students also throughout their education must choose a language specialization (Arabic, English, Spanish, German and Chinese) [2] .

During the negot programme, students develop both in breadth and depth the knowledge of the theory and methods within the disciplines of business economics, management, marketing and intercultural communication. The programme also trains students how to work independently and scientifically prepare original research.

The bachelor degree has humanist courses such as history, social studies, art, communication and rethroics whilst the corresponding social science courses include international business, business economics, marketing, statistics, organisational theory, microeconomics, macroeconomics and international economics.

The master degree phase of the programme allows the students to specialise in a particular track. The programme currently has the following tracks, leading to the corresponding degrees:

  • Human Resource Management (Cand.negot.HRM)
  • International Relations (Cand.negot.INT)
  • International Market Relations (Cand.negot.IMR)
  • International Communication Management (Cand.negot.ICM)
  • Global Marketing Management (Cand.negot.GMM)
