Born in Portsmouth, Hampshire, Field played youth football for Portsmouth until 2015 when he was promoted to the first team.
In 2016 Field went on loan to Bognor Regis Town.
He was released at the end of the 2015-16 season.

In the summer of 2016 Field joined Bognor Regis Town and was part of the team that one promotion to the National League South via the play-offs.
The 2017-18 season was not a good for Field. A cruciate ligament injury suffered early on meant he was not involved for most of the season culminating in Bognor's relegation back to the Isthmian League.
