Chandrashekhar Naringrekar (7 February 1936 – 2004) was an Indian classical musician who played Dhrupad on surbahar. He was a student of Zia Mohiuddin Dagar, the famous Rudravina player. He was featured in George Harrison's debut solo release, Wonderwall Music.
Early Life[edit]
Naringrekar was born on February 7th, 1936 in an affluent, educated family in Bombay. He learnt sitar on his own. In 1956, he started learning the surbahar from the rudravina maestro, Zia Mohiuddin Dagar.[citation needed]

Personal Life[edit]
His sister, Pramila Dagar, was the wife of the Dhrupad exponent, Zia Mohiuddin Dagar. His nephew, Bahauddin Dagar, is a Rudravina player belonging to the Dagar tradition of Dhrupad.
