ChangeNOW World, or ChangeNow, is an annual environmental summit dedicated to innovation and startups, held in Paris, France.[1]. The start-up ChangeNOW was founded in 2015 by three co-founders, Rose-May Lucotte, Santiago Lefebvre and Kevin Tayebaly, and the first summit launched in 2017. [2] During three days, the summit is open to innovation, startups, investors, executives, and the general public.
2017[edit]
The first year of ChangeNOW was held only for two day from the 29th of September 2017 to the 30th of September in Paris at the Station F.[3]
2018[edit]
The second edition showcased 500 innovations with 20 mayors and representatives of international cities.[4]
2020[edit]
For the third edition, ChangeNOW welcomed Nicolas Hulot, Paul Watson, Suzy Amis Cameron, and Bertrand Piccard at the Grand Palais in Paris, France.[5]
Following the summit, the media group Les Echos obtained 55% stake in ChangeNOW.[6]
2021[edit]
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, ChangeNOW took on a hybrid format at the Grand Palais Ephémère in Paris, France, on the 27th, 28th and 29th of May 2021. Prominent figures from all over the world were present through digital format, such as Bertrand Piccard, Justin Trudeau, and Kate Brandt.[7]
That same year, ChangeNOW launched with Les Echos START their new ranking for schools and universities in France based on their ability to prepare students for environmental and social issues.[8]
2022[edit]
The latest ChangeNOW summit will be held on the 19th, 20th and 21st of May 2022 at the Grand Palais Ephémère in Paris, France.[9]
During the 2022 edition, Renault will unveil its new concept-car.[10]
