Chappish[edit]
Chappish is a Guatemalan company engaged in online shopping and sales in Guatemala. Currently the company focuses on offering electronic items, clothing, furniture, food, books, DVDs, music CDs, Bluray, software, video games, jewelry, handicrafts, collectibles, etc. Chappish is the first marketplace type company in Guatemala which is based on giving the opportunity to sell the products of retail people to large companies. The motto of the company is to grow the economy at its roots by fostering an online sales model so that products made by hand by Guatemalans and much other products can be exported internationally.
Historia[edit]
The company was founded in 2018, driven by the founder of Chappish Brayan Monterroso, who by goal approach believes that the development of the country is mutual and not competition. Monterroso chose the name thinking about its roots and the meaning of the company, Chapin and Shoppish. The Chapin comes from the way of identifying a Guatemalan to another, while Shoppish comes from being a store owner. Monterroso thought about the relationship and focus on what he needed to create for his country.
Guatemala currently has an ad market where the buyer and seller come together in one physical place and discuss the price and purchase of the product offered. That leads to risks where crime, fraud and theft occur as there is no entity or security to protect the purchase/sell from customer/seller. Chappish's Founder tries to move the country to the next level by creating online shopping where he seeks to eradicate these acts and give security, convenience and speed of purchases that the country needs.
