Chicago killings in Rogers Park neighborhood

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Two people were killed by an assailant with a gun in the autumn of 2018 in the Rogers Park neighborhood of northern Chicago, Illinois.

The first victim, 73-year-old Douglass Watts, was killed on September 30, 2018, while walking his dog near 1400 West Sherwin Avenue. The second victim, 24-year-old Eliyahu Moscowitz, was killed on October 1, 2018, on the bike path adjacent to Lake Michigan, near 1100 West Lunt Avenue around 10:20 p.m. The Rogers Park neighborhood is approximately nine miles from Downtown Chicago (Madison Street).

As of October 7, 2018, it was believed both crimes were committed by the same assailant.

The apparent suspect — wearing a black track suit, with sunglasses, a hat and scarf obscuring most of his face — is seen on video walking on the sidewalk and running through an alley after the first attack Sunday. Police described him as having a slim build. Police have said they believe the shooter lives in Rogers Park. A motive remains unclear, and no arrests had been made as of October 7, 2018.
