Chief Udoh Essiet

Chief Udoh Essiet (born November 21, 1959[1]) is a Nigerian musician. He played as a conga soloist with Afrobeat musician Fela Kuti[2] before moving to Paris in 1983 with his band Ghetto Blasters.[2] Essiet's music has been described as highlife[3] and worldbeat.[4]

While in Nigeria, Essiet played with musicians including Victor Olaiya and Rex Lawson.[1]
