Profile of CAASA

Under the guidance of National Leading Group on the Fight Against IPR Infringement and Counterfeiting, over hundreds of industrial associations, scientific research institutions and the key enterprises have jointly established China Anti-infringement and Anti-Counterfeit Innovation Strategic Alliance (or CAASA), a non-profit social organization for public goods, to carry out the national strategies of Rule of Law and Intellectual Property-Intensive Country initiated by the Party Central Committee and the State Council, to stimulate the mass entrepreneurship and innovation, to carve out a new era of social governance in IPR protection and fight against the counterfeiting commodities. Simultaneously, CAASA is responsible for compiling and editing the blue paper of China Anti-Infringement & Anti-Counterfeiting Annual Report authorized by the government.

Founded by: Industrial Associations: China Trade Association for Anti-Counterfeiting, China Electronics Chamber of Commerce, China Copyright Society etc. Institute: Xiamen University, Renmin University of China, Yangtze River Region Institute of Tsinghua University, Zhejiang etc. Enterprise: Alibaba Group, JD.COM, Xiaomi, SEBE etc.

Mission and Task: Editing the Blue Paper of China Anti-infringement and Anti-Counterfeit Annual Report, and Working as the belt among the government, the right holder and the enterprise and the institute, and Local Exhibition for Anti-infringement and Anti-Counterfeiting Experience and Result, and Coordinating and boosting the IPR protection to actively respond to One Belt and One Road Initiative, and Serving as the bridge for cooperation of IPR protection domestically and internationally.[1]
