ChoirPrompt - Digital Choral Music for Widescreen Display

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

ChoirPrompt is a company started in 2015 by Bob Morrison of Pensacola, FL. In full disclosure, this brief article is being written by the company's founder, and serves only to introduce the reader to what this upstart company offers.

ChoirPrompt's only service is converting choral music from readily available hard copy size (7" X 10.5") to a widescreen format (16 X 9 ratio) suitable for display on a large widescreen TV/monitor or projected image on a screen. ChoirPrompt's only product is the resulting digital file following the conversion process, in either Microsoft's PowerPoint or Apple's Keynote software.

Using ChoirPrompt allows the choir to, in essence, have all the benefits of singing from memory, without actually memorizing. Those benefits are...

1. Being able to see not only the lyrics, but the notes as well, on the display 2. Having greater volume, as heads are up and voices are out (instead of singing into a folder) 3. Greater attention to the director, as the display is located at the director's music stand 4. Giving the appearance of singing from memory, without actually memorizing 5. Facilitating "teaching moments" in rehearsals as you have an electronic board to refer to which contains the music 6. Over time, improving the music reading ability of the singer
