Chowrasta: Crossroads of Love

Chowrasta: Crossroads of Love is a 2009 Indian Bengali language anthology film written and directed by Anjan Dutt.[1] The film features Victor Banerjee, Atul Kulkarni, Roopa Ganguly, Saswata Chatterjee in lead roles, and is set in the town of Darjeeling, which sets out to capture the extreme sense of past.

Neel Dutt is the music composer and Indranil Mukherjee is the film's cinematographer, the film was released on 17 April 2009 with a duration of 99 minutes.[2]

Plot[edit]

Nandana (Roopa Ganguly) is a movie star, who vists darjeeling with her boyfriend Jojo, along with her son Rick. During their visit Rick will be kidnapped, Nandana meets her ex-husband Deep (Saswata Chatterjee) who works at a local boarding school and will be shocked to know the news about the kidnap of his son. On the other side, in a Hotel there will be an eloped couple Rita and Sunny, who will be quarrelling over the issue about Sunny's career, during this quarrel Rita leaves the Hotel and Sunny starts sharing his feelings to a stranger Jimmy (Victor Banerjee). Jimmy is a tea planter in darjeeling, who will be depressed due to his wife's death. He keeps writing emotional letters and recite poems to his deceased wife, due to his loneliness Jimmy tries to suicide and fails several times, during one such attempt he will be saved by Kenny (Atul Kulkarni). Kenny, a terrorist who is on run from the police. Kenny is the one who kidnaps Rick due to his need for money. When he meets Jimmy during his rescue, the conversation which takes place between them inspires Kenny and he rethinks his life as a terrorist and understands that his life is totally worhtless, after which his life transforms completely.
