Chris Hawks (born Christos Gerakakis Evangelou, 10 June 1993) born in Kavala, Greece, is a singer/songwriter/guitarist and record producer.

Personal life[edit]

Chris Hawks was born in the city of Kavala, Greece and grew up in a small village (Nerofraktis, Greece) where he spent his first 18 years. At the age of 12, he took an interest in music and took his first guitar lessons.

Career[edit]

At the age of 12 Chris fell in love with the music of Green Day and especially their song Wake Me Up When September Ends which was the only reason he decided to learn how to play the guitar. A few years later, his main goal was to finish high school and move to London,UK where he lived for 4 years working in cafes and performing over the weekends. In 2012 he released his debut single "Away From You" which charted on the 12th seat of the Top40 Greek Charts. He started recording other original songs such as "Dot of Ink", "Moment", "Oh No" and a cover of George Michael 's, Careless Whisper. About a year later a music agency spotted Chris performing at Westfield London 's shopping center, which later signed him as a cruise ship musician and took him around the world, performing on Cruise Ships and Ferries. In between his travels he spent a few months in LA, studying music production on YouTube. A few months later he started recording and filming his own Cover songs on YouTube which attracted some attention. In 2017, while performing for Celebrity Cruises, he recorded and produced an entire album while at sea, in his cabin. He named the Album "Covers In My Cabin" and the album reached all digital music stores. In 2018 he recorded and produced a dance cover version of the song Rewrite the Stars from the movie The Greatest Showman featuring Kelsey June while he continued performing all around the world.
