Christian Eigner (born 3 March 1971 in Vienna, Austria) is a drummer. Most Recent tour: Global Spirit Tour 2017/18. He also co-produced and co-wrote Dave Gahan`s solo album "Hourglass" (2007). Eigner uses dw drums, pedals, and hardware, Remo drumheads, Zildjian cymbals, and Vic Firth drumsticks.

Drums: dw: Eigner will alter his setup depending on the artist, but with Depeche Mode he usually favors a surprisingly complex setup comprising two bass drums, three or four rack toms, two floors, and a snare.

Musical Career[edit]

As studio musician, Eigner has worked on more than 300 albums, including playing for Kurt Ostbahn (studio and live), Peter Cornelius and George Danzer.

In 1997, owner Dave Clayton, who worked as a keyboarder for Depeche Mode on the production of the album Ultra '. Clayton took him into the studio, owner played before and was eventually hired by the band. Since then owner is also tour drummer of Depeche Mode. He also collaborates with Andrew Philpott Dave Gahan in writing songs. Thus, various titles for the albums Playing the Angel, Sounds of the Universe and Spirit, He was also involved in Gahan's solo album Hourglass.

In 2005 he released his first solo album, "Recovery". Also He is head of the projects The Shadow (with Andrew Philpott) and Compact Space (with Daryl Bamonte and Florian Kraemmer).
