Christopher R. Espinoza[edit]

Christopher R. Espinoza(/krɪstəfər/es-pih-NO-za; born August 31st, 2000) is an American politician from Downers Grove, Illinois. The youngest elected member of the District 99 Board of Education, he has been serving since 2021.

Espinoza was born and raised in Downers Grove, Illinois. Appointed as a Democratic Precinct Committeeman at 19, Espinoza first appeared on the ballot during the 2020 Democratic Primaries as a delegate candidate for Pete Buttigieg from the IL-6th congressional district. An active member of the Downers Grove Township Democrats Organization (DGTDO), and the Democratic Party of Dupage County (DPDC). Espinoza worked as an organizing volunteer for the current chair of the DPDC, Ken Mejia-Beal during his unsuccessful state representative campaign in 2020. He also served as a district intern for Illinois 6th, Congressman Sean Casten from January to June of 2021.

Espinoza graduated from Downers Grove North High School in May 2018 and is currently pursuing a B.S. in Public Policy at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
