Clearcode is a Polish software development company specializing in building custom analytics and enterprise-grade SaaS platforms for the advertising and marketing industries.

Clearcode is headquartered in Wrocław, Poland, and has an office in Katowice, Poland, and New York and works with companies all around the world..[1]

The company was recognized as The Best Poland Big Data Startup company by the UK Data Magazine.[2].

History[edit]

Clearcode was founded by Maciej Zawadziński and Dominik Jendroszczyk in 2009[3]. Prior to founding Clearcode, Zawadziński and Jendroszczyk established the first blog advertising network in Poland, which allowed companies to display advertisements on blogs. The blog advertising network was later sold to Money.pl, which is now a part of Wirtualna Polska group.

On the 14th of February, 2017, Clearcode raised a series of funding round of USD $2 million from the following investors:

  • Warsaw Equity Group (WEG) - a private equity investment company whose portfolio includes a number of significant investments, including VIGO System S.A. and Artifex Mundi. Tim Schumacher - a private investor and entrepreneur, co-founder and former president of Sedo.com.
  • The investment round was used to further develop Piwik PRO.

On on 12th of January 2022, Clearcode was acquired by ARICOMA Group[4], the biggest Czech ICT holding group[5].

Operations[edit]

Clearcode partners with other companies to design and develop advertising and marketing software, integrate with other platforms and tools, and improve the performance of their software by optimizing the cloud-computing infrastructure[6]

In 2013[7], Clearcode founded Piwik PRO, an analytics suite with a focus on user privacy and data security. Piwik PRO operated as a subsidiary of Clearcode until it spun off in December 2020.

In 2019, Clearcode joined the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Partner Network (APN) and became a verified consulting partner to help its clients optimize and improve the performance of their AWS infrastructure setup[8].

Maciej Zawadziński, Clearcode’s co-founder, was CEO from 2009 until 2020 when he stepped into an advisory role and focused on his position as CEO at Piwik PRO. Piotr Korzeniowski was Clearcode’s CFO until 2020 when he also stepped into an advisory role and focused on his position as COO at Piwik PRO[9]

In 2020, Piotr Banaszczyk became Clearcode’s CEO and Tomasz Chmielewski became Clearcode’s COO[10].

Services and products[edit]

Clearcode specializes in custom advertising, marketing technology, and programmatic services which include consultation, data and platform integration, platform design, development, and maintenance.

Clearcode established three products:

  • Kanary NEST is a DSP (Demand-Side Platform) that is used by advertisers, marketers and advertising agencies to purchase advertising space on the internet. Kanary was sold in 2014 to Gravity4[11], a start-up from Silicon Valley offering advertising services[12].
  • Piwik PRO is a privacy-oriented Analytics Suite that allows for tracking web, app, product and intranet behavior of users.
  • 7Suite is a fully customizable data-management stack consisting of data collection, data management, and content-personalization components.[12]
