Clearly Kombucha is an organic, authentic, all-natural fermented tea beverage that offers probiotic benefits. Clearly Kombucha is brewed with organic whole-leaf green tea, fermented with a symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast (SCOBY), and is then cold filtered for clarity and taste. Clearly Kombucha is known for its non-vinegary taste. The brand also uses a highly selective filtration system to remove unappealing sediments, while leaving the healthy gut bacteria.
Clearly Kombucha contains less than 0.5% alcohol, qualifying it as a non-alcoholic beverage, which is naturally occurring from the fermentation process.
History[edit | edit source]
Clearly Kombucha was founded in 2009 when its founders wanted to have a healthy alternative to drinking alcohol. They decided to create a great tasting kombucha that you could drink out at night, or any time. A kombucha that is refreshing, detoxifying, and that made them feel really good, and also looked good and was easier to drink than other kombuchas in the marketplace. "Clearly Kombucha". Bay Sunday. July 2012. KPIX-TV.
Through a series of experimentation and tests and trying a variety of home-brewed kombucha recipes one clear mission began to emerge: stand for the most authentic, delicious kombucha possible, by proudly brewing the best ingredients to perfection. Clearly Kombucha delivers an authentic kombucha experience, with a refreshing, crisp, non-vinegary taste, that is low in sugar, and contains healthy live probiotic cultures.
Ten years later, Clearly Kombucha LLC had expanded selectively in California, Colorado, Oregon and Washington , and in June 2018, was acquired by MillerCoors , supporting the company’s strategy to diversify its beverage portfolio in a high-potential category that leverages its brewing and fermenting expertise.
Giving Back & Donation Program[edit | edit source]
Clearly Kombucha donates 1% of the retail price of every bottle to the International Rescue Committee (IRC) . The IRC helps refugees and displaced people around the world survive, recover and reclaim control of their future when forces beyond their control force them from home.
