The Cocoon Music Event GmbH is an international music and event agency founded on March 7th 1996 by DJ and music producer Sven Väth together with the first Cocoon Managing Director Talida Wegener. Cocoon is a worldwide registered trademark and is subject to worldwide copyright and image protection.
Since its establishment in 1996, the company has planned and implemented events and club nights in more than 30 countries. Each year, Cocoon Music Event GmbH is responsible for an average of 90 events worldwide (2016). In 2016 alone, approximately 350,000 guests attended a Cocoon Music event somewhere around the world. The brand's international reputation has also received strong promotional backing as a result of the successful party series on the Balearic Island of Ibiza.
In addition to the Events department, Cocoon Music Event GmbH has been organising its own event in Leeds, England (Cocoon in the Park) since 2009. The company also organized the Green & Blue Festival around Frankfurt (Obertshausen and Langen) from 2004 to 2012. The Cocoon Music Event GmbH owns a record label and a music publishing company, as well as a merchandising business and a well-known artist agency. The artist agency was renamed Flash Artist Booking in 2014.
Cocoon Music Event GmbH is currently located in Frankfurt am Main, with Tanja Rohe as Head of Operations since 2014.
