Cristiana Achim is a Romanian pianist and piano teacher who graduated the Bachelor of Music with First Class Honours in 2022 from the Royal College of Music, London, United Kingdom.

Cristiana is currently pursuing her Master of Performance degree under the tutelage of Nigel Clayton at the Royal College of Music.

Cristiana has performed in prestigious UK venues like Queen Elizabeth Hall, St James’s Picadilly, Drapers Hall or Amaryllis Fleming. Other peformances include Clara Schumann’s piano concerto with the Trinity Orchestra in November 2022 and a tour of solo and chamber music recitals across UK in September 2022.

At the age of 15, Cristiana became a resident artist with the Romanian Royal House, and she has become a regular there, being often invited to play with the Royal Camerata Orchestra and to give piano recitals at the Romanian Athenaeum in Bucharest.

She has developed a keen interest in folk music and jazz and is well-versed in the art of improvisation. In 2019, she released three of her singles, which are based on Romanian folk tunes: “Little Cloud Passing by”, “Cristina”, “S.H.E”.

Cristiana is a passionate advocate for education and has collaborated with Romanian and British institutions. This way she had the opportunity to develop the Romanian educational system by teaching music to disadvantaged children through interactive workshops.

She recently became a Benedetti Foundation Music Ambassador and dedicated her time to develop creative education projects, working alongside the violinist Nicola Benedetti and her collaborators in London.
