MKSSS's Cummins College of Engineering for Women (CCOEW) is a NAAC Accredited engineering college in Nagpur, Maharashtra, established on 27th Feb 2010 run by the Maharshi Karve Stree Shikshan Samstha, Pune and funded by Cummins India Foundation which is USA based Company.[1] The college is affiliated to Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University, Nagpur, approved by Directorate of Technical Education, Mumbai, Maharashtra, and AICTE, Government of India.

      CCOEW has been identified as one of the best up-coming colleges of RTM Nagpur University. The college prepares women engineers in the field of Electronics & Telecommunications, Computer engineering and is the only women’s college in Vidarbha having Mechanical engineering branch. Situated near Hingna, around 20 km away from zero miles, in a peaceful and secure environment that is ideal for academics and research for girls student.
      The College has Management Leadership of Shri Milindji Kukde who is retired Executive Engineer from MSEB and has dynamic leadership of Dr Bharatbhushan Joshi who is Ex-DRDO scientist having 27 years of experience in R&D, Industry & Academics. The excellent infrastructure, talented & well-qualified faculty and student-centric approach have made Cummins College of Engineering, Nagpur as the most preferred girls’ college in Nagpur.

History[edit]

    Started in the year 2010 by the Maharshi Karve Stree Shikshan Samstha, a 120 + year‑old institution, that has a century-long history dedicated to the upliftment of women by educating them and making them self-reliant, is the second Engineering college run by samstha after the first Engineering college in Pune with the same name. It was named after Cummins India Foundation who gave a substantial donation.[1] The first batch of this college passed out with a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Summer of 2014.

Campus[edit]

   Cummins College of Engineering for Women spreads over 13 acres in a beautiful green environment near the bank of river Vena. The peaceful and serene environment here is best suited for the teaching-learning process and good academic pursuit. The institute has state of art infrastructure which includes spacious digital classrooms, well-equipped labs, workshop with advanced technology, Language Lab, Information and Technology Tools. The institute has installed all the safety measures and the facilities for the disabled person. The entire campus is under CCTV surveillance.
   The college has in campus hostel facility for out station Girl students. Around 180 students can stay on campus with all facility including, Mess, Washing machines, TV room, Drinking water supply (Aquaguard filter), water coolers, Telephone booth, Generator backup (day and night), hot water facility (solar water heating system), Wifi facility, Gym facility, etc.
