cumulative match characteristic (CMC) curve is a metric used to measure the performance of identification and recognition algorithms based the precision for each rank. It is a popular measurement in biometric systems where identification performance is measured based on the relative ordering of match scores corresponding to each biometric sample (in closed-set identification).[1]
