D.O.A.: Cari Jodoh is an Indonesian comedy movie released on 2018, which is an adaptation to a strip-comic published by Poskota, featuring three unemployed buddies: Doyok, Otoy, and Ali Oncom, each of them has unique character and hilarious behavior. The story of Doyok, Otoy, and Ali Oncom actually consists of three different frames, they have never been seen together in the story. The movie brings them together in one frame.[1] The film was released on August 16, 2018. The movie also starred by Nirina Zubir, Jihane Almira, Laura Basuki, Titi Kamal, Brianna Simorangkir, Tarzan, Opie Kumis, and others.[2]

Synopsis[edit]

Doyok, Otoy, and Ali Oncom are three unemployed buddies, each of them had a unique character and hilarious behavior. Doyok (Fedi Nuril) is a single and poor Javanese aristocrat, shy towards girls and loves to talk politics. Otoy (Pandji Pragiwaksono) is a lazy husband who depends his life on his wife (Nirina Zubir) and his father-in-law (Opie Kumis). While Ali Oncom (Dwi Sasono) is a playboy who already had a girlfriend named Yuli (Jihane Almira), but always teases other women at every chance. The adventure began when they agreed to find a match for Doyok who has been single all the time, but always consider himself as a picky man. Hilarious stories also accompany their adventures in finding life partner for Doyok. From dating Ayu (Laura Basuki), sweet girl he met from an online dating site who turned out to be a transvestite, then deceived by Suci (Titi Kamal), an attractive sub-district office female staff who trapped him for political gain of her boyfriend, thus all-three being trapped by a human's organ trafficking organization led by beautiful girl Monic (Brianna Simorangkir).[3]
