DafriGroup PLC is a multinational public company based in South Africa with subsidiaries in Nigeria, Botswana, and the United Kingdom. The company has an interest in Technology, Finance, Hospitality, Real estate, Blockchain, and Media.[1]

History[edit]

DafriGroup PLC was founded in 2019 by billionaire entrepreneur Xolane Ndhlovu. It holds an unrestricted operating license in South Africa under the Public Companies Act 71 of 2008. The company, which is renowned for its commitment to providing Afrocentric solutions to new age challenges, has a track record of investing in sectors that provide strong long-term returns and have the ability to move Africa’s economy forward.[2] In 2020, DafriGroup merged with UMEH; an investment firm worth R500 million at that time.[3]

Leadership[edit]

Xolane Ndhlovu is the Chairman of DafriGroup PLC. Catherine Anajemba holds the Group Managing Director position while Edward Obasi serves in the Managing Executive structure.[5]

Corporate Responsibility[edit]

DafriGroup PLC is oblivious of the fact that a peaceful society is needed for a prosperous business. This has made them prioritize giving back to the community both financially and in utterances. The Chairman of the group, Xolane Ndhlovu, has been known to advocate for peace from indigenes and immigrants of countries where the companies are based.[6][7]

The company started a 100million naira educational support fund for school children in Nigeria to help students struggling financially access quality education.[8]
