Early Life[edit]

Had been interested in racing since he was young. ""My parents supported my desire to race. On my 16th birthday, I went road racing for the first time. I had a real thing for speed and realized that I was better at going fast on pavement than racing over dirt." -Damon Buckmaster

1989 Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix[edit]

In the 500 cc classification, Buckmaster placed 12th.

1998[edit]

He won the AMA Supersport Championship

2000[edit]

Placed Second overall in 750 cc Supersport

2001[edit]

Placed second overall in Formula Xtreme

2002[edit]

His Yamaha FX was determined illegal by AMA and will not let him run it . He is allowed to keep his points from his previous races, but will have to find a new bike to use in the next race.

This means that the Yamaha team must build a new R1 by the next weekend to be in the race.

Placed Third overall in Formula Xtreme

2003[edit]

Second overall in Supersport

2004[edit]

Placed second in Superstock. Buckmaster was just beat out by Hacking.

Hacking put a late braking move on Buckmaster that ultimately lost him the race.

Part of Attack Kawaski team.

Part of Yamaha Formula Xtreme team

2016[edit]

Motul Pirelli Troy Bayliss Classic - Legends Buckmaster decided to return and enter in the Troy Bayliss Classic

2017[edit]

Shannon's Insurance Legends. Two heat wins gave multiple Australian dirt track champion Darren Herrick the edge over Damon Buckmaster and three-time speedway world champion Jason Crump for the win in the Shannon's Insurance Legends class. Buckmaster came in Second.
