De Negri di San Pietro
The de Negri di San Pietro family, is the a trentino-tyrolean historical noble family, the most ancient still alive from the city of Trento, with a documented history in the city going back to the XII century.
History[edit]
According to Gino Meneghin in his book " La Nobile Stirpe de Castelmur", the family has its origin as a collateral branch of the von Castelmur family of switzerland, in the same way as the Thurn und Taxis family. With family legends connecting the family with Saint Linus and his father Herculanus Mur from Volterra, the gens Tarquini of Rome and consequently to the Bacchiadae dynasty
