Bypolls (also known as by-elections) are due to be held in 20 constituencies of the Delhi Legislative Assembly after 20 legislators of the Aam Aadmi Party were disqualified for holding an office of profit.[1]
Background[edit]
Prior to the bypolls, the AAP were defeated by the BJP in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi election, 2017 and Rajouri Garden bypoll. The party won the Bawana bypoll.
Rebel AAP legislator Kapil Mishra posted a leaked AAP party survey on Twitter, which suggested the party may not win a single seat back.[2][3]
