Overview of the Center[edit]
The Democratic Arab Center for Strategic, Political and Economic Studies was established in the Arab Republic of Egypt in 2007. It is a company with a limited liability subject to the provisions of Law n°.159 of the year 1981 and its executive regulation N°. 1762 of 2007. After years of work, the center established a principal headquarters in Berlin, Germany.[1]
The Center is considered as an independent institution that works within the framework of an academic scientific research in addition tothis it takes into consideration the analysis of political, legal, media and economic events and issueswhich concern the international and regional affairs related to Arab reality in particular and international ones in general. In order to enable researchers, journalists and freelance writers to express their views objectively and without restrictions, the center seeks to present all views without expropriating democracy.Its name has been founded on the basis of the firm principle of the institution which is the establishment of democracy without conditions.
Research Areas and Topics of Studies[edit]
- Arab studies represent the core of the center’s research fields. These studies will be dividedinto two directions.The first direction is to study the issues of each Arab country separately at the internal level. Then the second one studies the issues imposed by the pattern of bilateral relationship between each country, the extent of interaction between them and the impact of these issues on the existing relationships i.e.either negative or positive impact.
- International studies are oriented towards one approach. They study the issues that arise from the pattern of mutual relationships between the Arab countries and the different countries of the world. These studies call for determining the shape of this relationship and its impact on common issues.
- Studies of current events that occur in the Arab countries and need to conduct studies and research and opinion polls to find out the causes and motives and possible consequences, and this type of studies isof a great importance as it helps decision-maker in his various levels to make the right decision.
The work of the center is divided into a group of specialties adapted to the following group of specialized departments:
1- Department of Political Studies and Systems.
2- Department of International Relations studies.
3- Department of Economic Studies.
4- Department of Military Studies.
5 - Department of Media and JournalismStudies .
6- Department of Social and Cultural Studies.
7- Department of Iranian Studies.
8-Gulf Studies Department.
9- Department of Hebrew and Israeli Studies.
10- Department of Democratic Programs and Systems.
11 - Department of Religious and Islamic Groups Studies.
12- Department of Sudanese and Nile Valley Basin Studies.
13- Department of Women's Studies.
Objectives of the Center[edit]
The Center aims to achieve a number of objectives through its work in its various activities. These objectives can be shown as follows:
-Dissemination of scientific awareness and research in the field of political science, law, sociology, economics and media among the Arab masses through the initiationof theoretical and cognitive studies. These are considered as basic studies that providea true understanding of democratic culture not only through its Western concepts but through concepts that are appropriate to our cultural, social and political status.
-To transfers a clear picture of the international and regional events in an academic format that enables the removal of blurring from the political scene through deep and neutral analyzes. - To enlighten the Arab public opinion on its decisive issues and provide detailed information about them through the preparation of a number of strategic reports in various domains namely; political, strategic, economic, social and cultural aspects. These reports areadministered in a neutral way that presents information and provides analysis through systematic scientific methods.
Publications of the Center of Periodicals (Journals)[edit]
-The Center issues a number of publications after various research activities. The publications will work to achieve the center’s research objectives. The most important of these publications are as follows:
1-Research projects that can be submitted to the economic and political parts to conduct an integrated research in order to provide expertise and results that can be used to develop and modernize these institutions.
2-Periodic reports on the current events in the Arab and international region and provide an integrated analysis of these events in order to interpret and identify their backgrounds.
3-Reports and strategic publications concerning local, Arab and international affairs. The periodicity of these reports will be determined and may be quarterly in preparation for issuing them monthly.
4-Periodicals: the center publishes a number of periodicals that carry scientific, academic and political aspects through which the visions of researchers, media professionals and journalists are presented.
5-Specialized books and brochures.
6-Books and research translated from different languages into Arabic.

The Center organizes and sponsors activities whose ultimate goal is the implementation and realization of the philosophy on which the center is based. These activities are handled under the forms of seminars, workshops, training courses and conferences so as to provide the center with a global character
