Depeche Mode: Spirits in the Forest Anton Corbijn is an upcoming film release by Depeche Mode and directed by Anton Corbijn, featuring performances from the band's last two concerts of the 2018 Global Spirit Tour, filmed at the Waldbühne Amphitheater in Berlin, Germany, and woven with the stories of six live-long fans in the audience. The crew visited their hometowns as well.
According to the film's release website, "Through the deeply emotional stories of six special Depeche Mode fans, the film shows not only how and why the band’s popularity and relevance has continued to grow over the course of their career, but provides a unique look into music’s incredible power to build communities, enable people to overcome adversity, and create connections across the boundaries of language, location, gender, age, and circumstance."
The movie will be released in cinemas worldwide on November 21st, 2019, followed by a possible release on DVD, Blue Ray and Netflix.
