Derrick Goh Soon Hee (Chinese: 吴顺喜; pinyin: Wú Shùn Xí, born 04 July 1968) is a Singaporean working in the financial sector. He is the current Head of Group Audit of DBS Bank and member of DBS Group Management Committee.[1], positions that he has held since 2018. He held various roles at DBS Bank that included the Regional Head of Treasures and Treasures Private Client Wealth management business from 2015 to 2016[2] and Head of POSB from 2012 to end 2015[3]. He has been an active volunteer in the community since his time as POSB head.


Goh was educated at St. Stephen’s School, St. Patrick’s School and Victoria Junior College, before attending Nanyang Technological University where he completed a Bachelor of Accountancy (with Honours) in 1992. He went on to obtain a Master of Science in Applied Economics at National University of Singapore in 1995. Goh obtained a Master of Business Administration (with Honours) in Finance at The Wharton School[4] in 2006 under a scholarship from American Express (Amex) when he lived in New York.


Goh has 27 years of experience in the Finance and Banking industry. He has previously spent 11 years with Amex from 1997 to 2008, where he undertook senior Finance roles and was based overseas in Paris, London and New York. He held roles as CFO of International Consumer Banking, CFO of International Consumer Banking & Insurance at American Express Bank, CFO of Consumer cards ( ASEAN and South Asia) and Head of Finance Planning and Strategy at Amex International. Goh returned from New York to Singapore in 2007 and continued with Amex as its Lead Financial Officer covering ASEAN and South Asia for Consumer Cards business.

Goh joined DBS Bank in 2008 and had held various positions within the bank. He joined as Head of Finance Planning and Analytics at Group Finance. In 2010, he was the regional Chief Operating Officer (COO) for Institutional Banking Group (IBG).

In 2012, Goh was appointed as Head of POSB. He took on the additional responsibility as Head of Distribution covering all branch banking business in 2014 and as Regional Head of Treasures and Treasures Private Client Wealth management business from 2015 to 2016.

Beginning of 2018, Goh was appointed Head of Group Audit and a member of the DBS’s Group Management Committee. As Group Head of Audit, Goh is responsible for strengthening the bank’s controls, risks and governance.

Community Involvements[edit]

Goh represents HomeTeamNS (HTNS) Men and actively contributes as a member of HTNS Board of Governors[5] at the Ministry of Home Affairs since 2013 to support its transformation and better engage NSMen.

Goh has also been serving South West CDC since 2013, as a District councillor and Vice Chairman of its Finance Committee.

In 2016, he served in the Sub-committee of The Future Economy Council (Future Corporate Capabilities & Innovation) as a member[6], contributing to the deep dive of Future Corporate Capabilities and Innovation for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises workstream[7]

Goh was a board member of the National Library Board (NLB) from 2013 to end August 2019 where he also chaired the Audit and Risk Committee from 2015 to end August 2019[8].


In 2015, Goh received the HomeTeam NSman of the Year Award[9], in recognition of his outstanding contributions to National Service where he currently remains as NS Deputy Commander. In 2018 he was also awarded the Long Service Award by Ministry of Home Affairs[10] for having served as a member of HTNS Board of Governors for 5 years. In 2019, he was given the Special Recognition Award by Ministry of Communications and Information (MCI) for serving the Board and as its Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee in at the National Library Board.

Goh is born in a Hokkien family and is married with three children. He is a Catholic.
