Details[edit]

The school opened in 1999-2000 and serves nearly 1,000 students. The school has a main foyer which leads to many smaller halls, where the majority of the classrooms are in the school itself. There is a portable outside of the school with an ESL (English as a second language) classroom on the inside of the portable. There are 7 main hallways, named Auburn, Baylor, Cornell, Duke, Julliard, Emory, and Marshall, some of which are names after the names of Auburn University, Baylor University, Cornell University, Duke University. Marshall hall is the only hall in the school to not have classrooms, as the hall is the location of the main foyer, offices and cafeteria.

The school is the only AVID national demonstration school in the district[5], making it a popular location for the AVID program to showcase teachers and other educators from across the area how AVID strategies can help improve students academically.
