Diana Vishalini
Diana Vishalini (born 24 August 1983), known by her stage name Vishalini.[1], is an Indian actress who predominantly works in Tamil films. She was born in tamilnadu and was raised in the Andaman and Nicobar islands. She was spotted by the famous South Indian Directing Legend P. Bharathiraja[2]
She made her acting debut with the TV soap Thekkathi Ponnu[3] (Tamil: தெக்கத்தி பொண்ணு) a 2008-2011 Tamil soap opera that aired on Kalaignar TV. The show premiered on 14 April 2008 and aired Monday through Friday at 8:30PM IST. The show starring by Napoleon, Ranjitha, Swarnamalya, Chandrasekhar and Bhuvaneswari in lead role.
The show was Directed by P. Bharathiraja and produced by Manoj Creations P. Jayaraj. It had been receiving the highest ratings of Tamil serials and received high praising from viewers. The show last aired on 20 September 2011 and ended with 750 episodes.
In the 2014s, Vishalini also achieved success in Tamil cinema with starring roles in the Rajinikanth[4] Blockbuster Lingaa[5] (2015) and went on to act in films such as Dharmadurai[6] (2016), Angali Pangali[7] (2016),and many more, all of which were major commercial successes. She still continues to draw praise from critics with her leading performances from her debut, Thekkathi Ponnu. Vishalini's portrayal of Devi in the Rajinikanth Blockbuster Kaala[8] (2018) received widespread acclaim for her notable performance.

Early Life and Career[edit]
Vishalini was born on 24 August 1983 into a Christian family in Tirunelvelli, India. Her father, moved along with his family to the Andaman and Nicovar islands along with the family and vishali did her schooling in Andaman. She has a brother, who is a civil service aspirant. Later, she joined the university of to study and graduated with a degree in public administration.
While in Chennai, she was referred and spotted by veteran director P.Bharathiraja and who casted her in the then successful Soap Thekkathi Ponnu. On its running days, the soap was very successful one receiving the highest ratings of Tamil serials and received high praising from viewers. The show last aired on 20 September 2011 and ended with 750 episodes.
Vishalini, took some time to break into the movies, primarily because she was tied up and busy shooting for Thekkathi ponnu. She did however appear on supporting roles in various movies. Her first notable break was when she was casted to play in the Rajinikanth Blockbuster Lingaa. She won a lot of critical acclaim for the movie and was hugely appreciated for the looks and the body language. She continues to work in the industry and has worked notably with Vijay Sethupathy, PA. Ranjith, Sennu Ramaswamy and Tamannah.
She has over 55 films to her name and the recent one being the superstar block buster Kaala
