Diversionary Theatre

Diversionary Theatre is the 3rd Oldest[1] LGBT Theatre in the Country[2], and is located in San Diego,California. The theatre is a 501c3 Organization and was founded in 1986 "to provide quality theatre for the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender communities. The mission of the theatre is  to provide an inspiring and thought provoking theatrical platform to explore complex and diverse LGBT stories, which influence the larger cultural discussion." Diversionary announced its 33rd Season[3] of programming in May of 2018 which includes Bull in a China Shop (Sept. 13-Oct. 14), by Bryna Turner, Hedwig and the Angry Inch (Nov. 8-Dec. 9), by John Cameron Mitchell and Stephen Trask, The Hour of Great Mercy (Jan. 31-March 3, 2019), by Miranda Rose Hall, and This Beautiful City (March 21-April 21, 2019), created by The Civilians and written by Stephen Cosson and Jim Lewis.
