What is Dixon Lane

Dixon Lane is a YouTube series focusing on the day-to-day lives of fictional characters, created in August 2017 by Bailey and Sam Dixon.

The series has had it's fair share of restarts, but Bailey decided to stop the restarts and focus on what they needed to do to improve the current show. Eventually they figured out that it needed a good balance between comedy and drama. This was achieved by bringing back a character that they never expected to bring back, called Dave Turner. Dave was re-introduced with a fresh new personality, as gormless and funny. He was originally gormless, but he was helping evil solicitor, Harrison Hunt, to keep Danny Murphy prisoner in Scotland.

After Harrison's demise, Terry Murphy was introduced to the street, who instantly caused chaos for the residents. Since mid-Harrison storyline, the show started to focus on other storylines too, including: Drug Addiction; Revenge, Grief, Adoption, Teen Delinquency and abduction.

Serial Killers and Murder

Harrison Hunt was Dixon Lane's first ever serial killer, and definitely won't be the last. Bailey actually came out and said the reason behind all these murders and serial killer storylines was because 'Who doesn't love a good murdering psychopath?' He has gone so far to believe that they are the make or break of a soap opera, and he believes that every soap should have around about two serial killers per year!

Drug Addiction, Grief, Adoption and Teen Delinquency

After Harrison's demise, Bailey didn't really know where he could take Dixon Lane at this point, so he went back to the drawing board and came up with a drug addiction plot, culminating in the death of Alex Raynott (Hunt) He then thought of the way that this storyline would serve it's purpose. He started writing a new side of Jack, a grieving and angry side of him. Another plot that he introduced was Teen Delinquency, when he revealed that Jamie Green was actually the biological father of Will Ashton, not Nathan Green. This made Jamie angry, and caused him to leave Ainsley Village behind to focus on scaring his family, by going missing often, each time, stretching the boundaries further.

Abduction

Bailey and Sam clearly both love filming abductions as someone seems to be kidnapped, beaten up or murdered every week! Abduction is now a pivotal point of Dixon Lane.
