20-year-old pickpocketing rivals Oliver Twist and Artful Dodger are on opposite sides of the law and get embroiled in an affair to steal the Crown Jewels.

On February 11, 2013, Columbia Pictures hired Cole Haddon to write Dodge & Twist, based on an idea by Ahmet Zappa, with Zappa producing along with Matt Tolmach, Hannah Minghella, and Andrea Giannetti. The movie not an adaptation of the book of the same name by Tony Lee. On January 26, 2015, Edgar Wright was hired to re-write and possibly direct the movie.
