Brandon Antione Cromwell better known by his stage name Dot Cromwell,.[1] is an African-American rapper and songwriter[2]. He is most noted for his feature on Jidenna's "Boomerang EP''[3] standout track "Out Of Body"[4] Featuring Wale. The EP debuted at #61 on iTunes Charts[5]. Cromwell is also listed as a collaborator on Jidenna's "The Let Out"[6] featuring Nana Kwabena and Quavo.

As a rapper, Dot Cromwell has released a string of releases since summer 2017. On June 3, 2017 Cromwell's single "Paid n Full"[7] was acknowledged by Nylon Magazine along with artist SZA, Lorde, and Halsey as one of the "Best Music Releases" of June 2017[8]. Cromwell later released his breakout mixtape "Vanity Tape"[9] which premiered on OkayPlayer and Revolt TV in spring of 2018[10][11]

Early Life and education[edit]

Cromwell was born in Philadelphia, PA to Nina Ware and Manual James Cromwell. Cromwell's grew up in the southwest section of Philadelphia, Pa where he attended Monsignor Bonner High School.

After receiving the "Promising Artist" scholarship award Dot Cromwell Attended University of The Arts[12] where he studied Music Business and Multimedia. Shortly after Cromwell moved from Philadelphia to New York to pursue his musical ambitions.

Career[edit]

After arriving to New York in 2010, Cromwell juggled a handful of freelance positions before stepping in as a music director with Driven Society[13] which is a creative agency and community that develops dynamic events & campaigns that deeply inspire & influence millennials.

Personal Life[edit]

Cromwell currently resides in Brooklyn, New York.[9] Dot host events, jam sessions, and recording sessions at a Afro-Victorian brownstone called the Parlor[14] which is seen as a refuge for artist from Dot's community.
