Biography[edit]

Early 2015 Astryd Brown[1] was featured on the track RAIN by Mark Stent Vs Pascal & Pierce. Later that year that same song was featured on two projects namely Now Dance 6 & Mark Stent Presents Africa Weapons.

The song gained even more attention when it was remixed by a group of notable DJ’s among them being Hendrik Joerges. A compilation EP of Rain Remixes[2] was released through Sony Music Africa[3].

Astryd was featured on Yung Swiss’ debut EP #BOTTOMBABY,[4] on the track Addicted. The EP has been downloaded over 20K + via SlikourOnLife[5] alone & Addicted has been a crowd favourite. 

Career Life[edit]

Early 2017 Astryd Brown released her debut single Titled “THEY KNOW[6]” It features South African based Congolese Rapper ROUGE!

1st September 2017 Astryd Brown released her second single of the year titled FOUR featuring label mate Yung Swiss.

On November 22nd 2017 Astryd Brown released her debut music video for her single FOUR[7]

The video was the number one trending topic on Twitter and even received a review on Trending SA[8] on SABC 1

Astryd was also recently featured in HYPE MAGAZINE SA’s last issue [9]of the year for 2017 under top emerging acts of the year.
