ESRC Centre for Population Change

The ESRC Centre for Population Change (CPC) is a research project which was founded in 2009. The Centre is funded by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) and is based in the United Kingdom:.[1]. It is a joint partnership between the Universities of Southampton, St. Andrews, Edinburgh, Stirling and Strathclyde. The Centre’s research agenda is planned in collaboration with the Office for National Statistics and the National Records of Scotland. Using statistical models and economic models as well as qualitative research, the Centre's remit is to investigate changing patterns of human migration; birth rates; fertility rates; family and household forms; and ageing and health. Organisation[edit]

The Principal Investigator of the research project and Director of the Centre is Professor Jane Falkingham OBE[3]. The Co-Directors are Professor Maria Evandrou[4] and Professor Elspeth Graham[5]
