Kyle Sheaffer, professionally known as Eazie, is an American hip-hop musician and singer from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is well-known for his single "Mama" which gained popularity on SoundCloud, attracting 29.2 thousand plays. Sheaffer released his debut extended play "Mixed Motions" in 2017 and his single "Demons" on March 9, 2019. Eazie released his debut mixtape Change of Heart in 2019 as well.

Career[edit]

Mixed Motions and SoundCloud debut (2017-2018)[edit]

In 2017, Sheaffer release the extended play Mixed Motions on SoundCloud. The E.P. featured singer Ean Cerogino on three songs: "Shot Out", "I Want You", and "Everything I Do For You". In 2018, he released the singles "Grow Up", "You Changed", "I'm the One", and "VVS". Sheaffer was also featured in Ean Cerogino's remixes to Serani's "No Games" and Gyptian's "Hold You". In October 2018, he released the single "Mama". The song was a list of promises to his family, and most specifically his mother, about how he would help their financial situation. Eazie claimed that he was working hard and would someday become famous. The song gained popularity, attracting 29.2 thousand plays on SoundCloud.

Change of Heart (2019-present)[edit]

In January 2019, Sheaffer released "Put This To Bed" with rapper Double O Smoove. On March 9, 2019, he released the song "Demons" which was produced by ZacTaylor and Sutl. A music video to "Demons was released on March 22 with Refresh Records. Eazie also released the single "Around" with production from ZacTyler and Chefboyardi. He collaborated with Dyll? to released "Streets". On August 3, Sheffer released "You're Free Now" with Ean Cerogino. He released his debut mixtape Change of Heart. The mixtape contained seven tracks: "Scarred", "Demons", "Mama", "One Time", "Lonely", "Face It", "August 17th". Sheffer released a statement about Change of Heart, commemorating it to his late aunt as it was the one-year anniversary of her death. On April 1, 2020, Eazie released the single "Dump Shit" which featured Brygreatah.

Artistry[edit]

Influences and style[edit]

Because of his pop-rap feel to his music, Sheaffer seems to draw strong influences from emo hip-hop artists Juice WRLD and Post Malone. His musical style is a combination of emo hip-hop and mumble rap as he uses significant amount of Auto-Tune in his voice.

Collaborations[edit]

Sheaffer and Ean Cerogino are frequent partners. In 2017, Cerogino was featured on three tracks in Sheaffer's Mixed Motions E.P. Eazie and Cerogino collaboratively released the remixes "No Games", "Hold Yuh", and "Just Wanna" with Thaddeus Adams. Elias created the beat for Sheaffer's "Shot Out". Eazie collaborated with producer CashmoneyAP to release "I Want You" and "Everything I Do For You" from Mixed Motions. In early 2018, Sheaffer partnered with Jumbo Beatz to produce "Grow Up". RellyMade created the "You Changed" beat. In late 2018, he temporarly signed with Sound Productions 3 for his single "MAMA". Ajelly helped Eazie release "Put This To Bed". Zac Tyler collaborated with Sheaffer to release "VVS" and "Demons". SUTL was also involved in the release of "Demons". ZacTyler and Chefboyardi both produced "Around" and Dyll? was featured on Eazie's single "Streets". The production work on Change of Heart included Jumbo Sounds, ZacTyler, Chefboyardi, Swavee, Chris Crack, and Sutl. Cerogino was featured on two tracks in the mixtape "One Time" and "Lonely".
