Plot: Lukhoi and Ningoleima settle down in a small hilly village near the Indo-Myanmar International border with their only son Thanil who is in the Indian army posted in Kashmir. The Myanmarese army torture and loot the villagers very often and even encroach the Indian territory by shifting the boundary pillar stealthily. The poor villagers expect and wait for the Indian army to protect the hamlet. The people of Manipur demand that a large portion of the Indian Territory is lost because of the newly constructed International Border fencing and agitate to re-demarcate the international boundary. Due to the public pressure the government declares to stop the construction of the fencing. That very night, Lukhoi dies as the Myanmarese army torture the villagers and Indian army arrive the next day. Ningoleima and the villagers are very happy thinking that the villagers would be protected by the Indian army. But it is the dead body of her only son who was killed in the cross border encounter in Kashmir, brought home.
