Elation Professional
Elation Professional, or Elation Lighting Inc., established in 1992, is a global developer and supplier of lighting and visual solutions primarily used in the professional stage, theatrical performance and entertainment industry. Headquartered in Los Angeles, California, the company designs and manufactures a range of high-tech lighting and video products distributed around the world through a global network of dealers and distributors. Elation Professional is a privately held corporation and part of the ADJ Group of companies with more than 300 employees globally (ADJ Products, Elation Lighting Inc, Acclaim Lighting LLC and Global Truss America LLC).[1]
Elation’s Los Angeles headquarters is a 100,000 square foot facility with 4,000 square foot showroom. European operations are based in a 60,000-square foot location in Kerkrade, The Netherlands, opened in 2010. The company also operates a 48,000-square foot distribution and service center in Opa Locka, Florida, opened in 2013; as well as a distribution facility near Mexico City, which opened in late 2016. Product development / R&D take place in the company’s Los Angeles headquarters.[1]

History
ADJ Group Chairman Charles Davies founded Elation Professional in 1992 after identifying a need for feature-packed products in the professional lighting market at a price point lower than what was available at the time. Initially focusing on effect lighting and DMX control products, Elation moved into the intelligent lighting market, partnering with GLP and Robe to develop and distribute products. The company quickly evolved to producing its own lines under the Elation brand name via contract manufacture agreements in the People’s Republic of China. After years of consistent growth, an expanding portfolio of products and a growing base of customers, the company has evolved into one of the leading developers of entertainment lighting in both the U.S. and worldwide.[5]
Elation was one of the first companies in the lighting industry to offer traditional stage lighting LED fixtures in 2003 and has pioneered a string of innovations like premixed color, multichip tri-color, quad-color, 6-color and 7-color LED color mixing as well as Chip on Board (COB) technology. Working with Philips on new lamp technology that was brighter, cheaper and longer-lasting, Elation’s Platinum lamp-based series, released in 2009, has been a staple of the company’s product portfolio. Elation launched its first LED video screens in 2010. [5] Elation has since developed a wide range of IP65-rated products for exterior use projects and in 2018 acquired the M-Series control product range from Harman Professional Solutions / Martin Professional.
