Electoral literacy club

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Electoral Literacy Club[1] is the new initiative of Election Commission of India.

The goal of this club is to mainstream electoral literacy through educational institutions, organizations and communities in India. Electoral Literacy Clubs are being set up in the country to promote electoral literacy in all age groups of Indian citizens through engaging and interesting activities and hands‐on experience but in an apolitical, neutral and non‐partisan manner. They are especially being set up in Secondary and Senior Secondary Schools all across India targeting the future voters, (in the age‐group of 14‐17 years old). To cater to the population outside the formal education structures, Electoral Literacy Clubs will be set at Polling Station level as ‘Chunav Pathshalas’.
