Erik Nathaniel Hegerty (born 16 October 1997 in Oahu, Hawai'i) is an American futsal player for Ginga FS in Cincinnati OH playing in the National Futsal Premier League.[1]
Playing Career[edit]
Hegerty started his playing career in Northern Kentucky playing soccer for Kings Hammer FC and Cincinnati United Premier. Soon going on to play soccer at Cincinnati State College from 2016-17 where he received MVP honors in the NJCAA XII Region Tournament from which he transferred to the University of Northwestern Ohio in 2017. Playing at the college for 2 years before leaving in 2019 where he signed his first professional futsal contract with Columbus Futsal. In 2020, Erik signed his second contract with Lansing City Futsal where he played full-time for 9 months. At this same time, he was invited too and trained with the United States National Futsal Team at various camps preparing for the FIFA Futsal World Cup. In 2021, Erik then signed with newly formed hometown team Ginga FS playing in the National Futsal Premier League.[1]
