Eurosif

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Eurosif (European Sustainable Investment Forum) is a Brussels-based membership association for the promotion of sustainable and responsible investment (SRI) across Europe.[1]  Eurosif works as a partnership of Europe-based national Sustainable Investment Fora (SIFs)[2] with the direct support of their network which spans over 400 Europe-based organisations drawn from the sustainable investment industry value chain. These organisations include institutional investors, asset managers, financial services, index providers and ESG research and analysis firms.[3] Eurosif is currently led by Executive Director, Flavia Micilotta, who oversaw the change in governance in 2015.[4]

Publications[edit]

In addition to market segment studies and themed reports, Eurosif publishes a European SRI Study every two years. The aim of the Study is to provide an updated overview of the state of the European SRI Market, as well as the trends in individual European countries.[5] The most recent Study, published in 2016, reported that impact investing was the fastest growing SRI strategy in Europe.[6]

  • SRI Study 2016[7]
  • SRI Study 2014[8]
  • SRI Study 2012[9]

Global SIFs[edit]

Eurosif is part of the Global Sustainable Investment Alliance (GSIA). Other GSIA members include US SIF, Responsible Investment Association Australasia - RIAA,[10] the UK Sustainable Investment and Finance Association - UKSIF,[11] the Responsible Investment Association of Canada - RIA,[12] and the Dutch Association of Investors for Sustainable Development - VBDO.[13]

GSIA publishes a biannual global Sustainable Investment Review with regional data around the world. According to the 2016 report, the global sustainable investment market reached $22.89 trillion at the beginning of 2016, a 25 percent increase from 2014.
