Fans of Jimmy Century are a genre-bending music duo that originated in Oakland, CA but now call the lively city of Las Vegas, Nevada, home. Fans of Jimmy Century or "FOJC" is led by Vocalist | Voice Actor Alicia Perrone and Bassist | Producer | Video Director Victor James.

They are currently best known for their original song "Best of My Generation (All The Way)" distributed by United Masters which is an official NBA Song for MVP 2019 winner Giannis. In July 2019, FOJC also became a member of the AWAL/Kobalt Music family of artists teaming up to release single “Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go vs Love TKO,” which came out 8-23-19, a 70’s style babymaking mod soulful remake of the 80’s Wham! classic pop song. Their YouTube series “The Babymakers” was created to tease this next single - a full album "Songs From The Babymakers Series," a collection of 80s, 90s, and 00's songs turned on by the 70s, is drip dropping in 2020.

FOJC is inspired by genre-bending, creating characters/alter egos to match their songs' vibes/videos. They create funny music videos on their YouTube Channel FOJCtv, like the 70s-inspo prank music video spoofing buddy films for the rockrap electropunk iTunes-charting single “Best of My Generation." The video passed 100K views in 2019. The song was a big stretch from the wickedly kitsch, vampy villainous swing of "All My Friends Are Ice Queens" and began their obsession w genre-bending.

In 2013 they signed w Bungalo/Universal, but left to self-release in 2015 and remain independent.

Sync Placements notable on Tunefind include the Warner Bros. film Get Hard, NBA, Ray Donovan, Law and Order: SVU, Gossip Girl, The L Word, Finding Nemo, Hall Pass, Bad Teacher, Housewives of NYC, Snapped etc. FOJC collabs w/ prod. Chris Moon (known for discovering Prince) in 2019 and relaunches their production show "Fatale Originale" on the Las Vegas strip southside.

History[edit]

Before becoming Fans of Jimmy Century, they were Simon Stinger. Simon Stinger was Ric Ocasek's (The Cars) first planned signing to Elektra back in 2003 when he became Senior VP of A&R, but the deal fell through when Elektra folded into Atlantic.

Originally formed in 2007-2008, the band was then known for songs such as "Va Va Voom to the Moon," "International," "Mr. Las Vegas," "Blonde Ambition," and "Hot Sahara" which helped steam up Showtime's The L Word in 2008, in a sexy scene known by L Word fanatics as "The Hot Sahara Scene." Hot Sahara went on to climb to #23 on the FMQB Top Dance Radio Charts, with heavy support and airplay on Energy 92.7 SF KNGY and Pulse 87 NYC. Additional Features include Ugly Betty, Samantha Who, and The Hills among others. In 2013, Va Va Voom to the Moon received strong support from Las Vegas' top pop station, Mix 94.1FM.

In September 2013, Fans of Jimmy Century released their debut single, "Va Va Voom to the Moon," under a newly signed contract between labels Butown Ent./SSMG/Bungalo Records/UMGD.

In 2015 they left the label to self-release.
