Fauzia Idrees Abro

Fauzia Idrees Abro (born 18 July) is a Pakistani Cyber Security professional and an electronics engineer. She is Pakistan’s first female PhD in their armed forces. She is also the first Pakistani female with PhD in Cyber Security.[1]

She received first class honors in Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics from Mehran University, Jamshoro[2] followed by a Masters in Cyber Security and Cryptology from NUST Pakistan. She obtained her PhD in Cyber Security from City University of London, UK. Her research interests are malware analysis, detection and prevention, mobile security, VoIP, network security and machine learning. Her research work has been published in various academic journals and conference proceedings.[3] She serves on several editorial boards and international conference program committees. She is the first female of Pakistan with foreign PhD in Cyber Security. She has over 21 years of experience in developing and managing Cyber security projects for Military and Defense organizations. Currently, she is associated with the National Center for Cyber Security Pakistan, which is the first step towards the safe cyber Pakistan.
