From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Fernando D. Guibert (born 5 September 1957 in Buenos Aires, Argentina) is an Argentine artist, designer, and art teacher that lives and works in London. His father Fernando Guibert was a poet and painter.  His family background consisting of several artists and intellectuals strongly influenced his decision to pursue an artistic career.

He completed degrees in both Fine Art and Modern and Contemporary Art in Buenos Aires. He taught and lectured in Argentina before arriving in London in 1989 for an exhibition of his drawings. Since then he has lived and worked in London as an artist and lecturer in Art, History of Art, and painting and etching. He currently works in London as an art tutor including various academies, schools and other institutions.

Fernando Guibert also worked as a screen-print designer and set-designer in England and Spain and has exhibited his work in Argentina, Brazil, Great Britain, Germany, Spain and Malaysia.  He also completed several large murals in the UK by private commission.

Guibert’s works are present in various collections, including the University of Paris Sorbonne INHA, Institut National d’Histoire de l’Art, the University of Essex, Collection of Latin American Art (ESCALA) and the Warburg Institute, University of London.

Fernando Guibert’s source of inspiration is fantasy. He draws primarily on his imagination, the world of dreams, and literary references that are part both of childhood and adult life. He works on new visions that explore life and contemporary concerns as visual signs, in a playful game to produce something unexpected. His drawings and prints are often arranged in series, with multiple variations on a specific theme, as an exploration of imageries as well as a new artistic language.
