Filmic Folk

'Filmic Folk' is a genre of music that combines traditional folk instrumentation such as guitar, piano and mandolin and cinematic strings.

The term was first coined by English Composer Jim Hustwit who's initial filmic folk album was released on Universal Production Music in 2016.[1]
